We are the controller for the personal data processed through join-the-pipe.org and our related sales channels. This policy explains what we collect, why, on what legal basis, how long we keep it, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You are not obliged by law to provide personal data, but without the data marked for orders or quotes we cannot deliver your order or send you a quotation. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.
Who receives your data
We share personal data only with service providers who need it to perform the services above, under data processing agreements:
- Shopify — the platform that hosts our shop and processes orders and payments;
- Payment service providers — to process your payment;
- Shipping carriers — to deliver your order;
- Google — website analytics (Google Analytics), only after your consent;
- ClickCease — advertising click-fraud prevention, only after your consent;
- WeFact — invoicing;
- Make — workflow automation for order follow-up and quotations;
- E-mail and IT service providers — to send our messages and keep our systems running.
We never sell your personal data.
Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers (such as Shopify, Google and ClickCease) process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, with additional safeguards where appropriate.
How long we keep your data
- Order, invoice and payment records: 7 years (Dutch fiscal retention duty);
- Quote requests and correspondence: up to 2 years after our last contact;
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe;
- Cookies: see the cookie settings for the lifetime per cookie.
Cookies
On your first visit our cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. Functional cookies that are needed for the shop (such as your cart) are always active. Non-essential cookies are only placed after your consent, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest — including an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, e-mail us at info@jointhepipe.com. We respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
