Shoebox project Sierra Leone

  • by Laurens Boschman

At the end of August, 3000 Join the Pipe water bottles, together with other relief supplies were delivered in Sierra Leone. The bottles were distributed by the local pastor Momoh Conteh and, as he picture shows, were very welcome.

The Shoe Box Project is a Dutch promotion in which shoe boxes filled with school supplies, care products, toys and a stuffed animal are sent to underprivileged children in various countries (www.schoenendoosactie.nl).

Your own drinking bottle ensures better hygiene and is easy to take water to school. It also often results in less plastic waste, because children drink from small plastic sachets, which end up in the street and in the rivers.
